| some of the choices are pretty average but overall its not a bad list. the question is in what way are they superior 2 the others that counts on this?
Best Light Car under: $20,000: Kia Rio Si ROFLOL are u kidding me, the Nissan Micra shits on it let alone a Skoda Fabia which is essentially a slightly cheaper VW Polo
Best Small Car over $35,000: Lexus CT200H Prestige So this is better in what way?, everything i have ever read about the Lexus is that its not a contender on the road against the VW Golf GTI and being a lexus its not cheap either....
Best Medium Car over $50,000: Mercedes Benz C250 CDI Avantgarde No way in hell does it beat the BMWs in its class
Best Large Car under $60,000: Ford FG Falcon Eco LPI XT oh how i lold, if u want pure value for money go a Skoda Superb V6 and if u want a great car go a Holden Calais V6 or a Falcon G6E
Best Large Car over $60,000: Audi A6 3.0 TDI Quattro lol an Audi V6 is nose heavy and not as good or as fun 2 drive as their 4 cylinder counterparts (2.0l turbo) unless u get a sports model such as the S4
the list could go on but i cbf

the list could go on but i cbf yes Ice i was hoping you were still around It seems they are putting fuel efficiency as almost the highest criteria I had to look twice when i saw an lpg falcon on their haha then i relised i was looking at the wrong list the superb won family car this year I heard this on the radio but cannot find it on the net it must still only be in a magazine this is a better link showing all the places just waiting for an new list http://www.racq.com.au/motoring/cars/car_reviews/australias_best_cars/australias-best-cars-2011

| i am happy to see more manufacturers using TT on smaller engines.
I have to agree on the merc they are generally very dull so interested to see the 250 being considered sporty
But i am a bit worried because peugot should never be on a list LOL even in 3rd dam frenchys

| its odd how they can come up with these answer when Wheels Magazine does a similar thing called the Gold Star Car Awards and they have a different opinion on a lot of the choices
For example the Mini is the premier Prestige Light car not the Lexus cuz its resale is better, its fuel efficiency is better, it handles better and the cost of one is cheaper, so how the f**k is the Lexus a better car? roflol
Merc are picking their game up no doubt about it but its mainly only the AMG models that are worthy of the money u pay. They rate Audi base cars over Mercs and then BMWs above that generally speaking
Peugeot should not be in a list like this i agree, best 4WD is a Land Rover with no sign of a Patrol or Cruiser....
Some real effort must have been put into this list, maybe a person who doesnt give a f**k about cars sitting behind a desk just crunching some numbers that are somewhat meaningless

| its classed as a hot hatch and competes directly in size, engine capacity etc as the Golf GTI and all of those. Golf GTI is freaking awesome and is rated as the best hot hatch for the road but on a cost side of things the Mini wins hands down. in the end its not my decision though Supra has its clutch plates stuck together right now so until i can get it into the mechanic i can only look at it all cuz it rained for 2 weeks solid.... Mini is just sitting in the background while i try and sort out the Supra first | |

| yeah for some reason they dont have a hatch class for aus best cars i have seen it in the past with some of the mags the golf has been the standard for a long time. Although i am not a fan i am interested as to how this is recieved. On paper it seems to have the goods but whether the package performs like the golf or close we will see. what u reckon? http://www.caradvice.com.au/185332/holden-cruze-turned-into-180kw-walkinshaw-performance-hot-hatch/get an osg clutch = never an issue had one in my evo never skipped a beat worth every penny | |

| Yeah hatches are a whole new breed and should be included now that they are so predominant.
Golf GTI wins in my books but i am also a Mini fan so i can see the attraction, i would be happy 2 get my hands on a Mini D cuz that represents the ultimate in fuel efficiency combined with fun dynamics. i know that if i move 2 Perth which is a good chance in the next year i will probs get a decent new car for it so that i dont have such high costs running 2 cars.
oh nice, that cruze would be pretty fun 2 drive, i must ask the Walkinshaw guys round the corner about it

| Ive had my MK6 Golf GTI for 2 years now and im still in love with it. The interior looks and feels classy (not the usual plasticy looking interiors that most cars have). Ive never had so much fun in a car before. Inside the car you dont hear the outside noise/and or the wind. When driving it feels like the car is glued to the road, and the DSG transition is so smooth and you feel so in control, sometimes I dont even realise that im going 120km! and turning at high speed is no issue. The acceleration is so quick that it leaves every car at the stop light for dead when it turns green.
Will be getting it GIAC tuned soon. A chick from a vw forum that im a member of got her car GIAC tuned and now shes running at 210kw at the wheels! Will be getting the same tune and maybe customise it a little bit.

| Haha no it's not like I do it on purpose but most of the time I get the usual Holden, fords, toyotas, nissans wanting to go me revving and so on all I do is smash em at the start then slow down cuz I don't want to get busted. | |

| If interested in buying or know anyone who would be interested let me know. SUPERCHARGED MKV R32 Available now to purchase is my beautiful ABT Supercharged VW MKV R32. A magnificent car to drive in every way. Car is meticulously maintained and serviced and no expense spared for this prime example. Body is treated with a bi-yearly professional detail. Mechanically sound and a straight R32. The sound of the supercharger whine and the capristo exhaust is a match made in heaven. Its simply breath taking to drive. The car handles like its on rails without being harsh on our roads. The car has never been tracked and til this day has that solid chassis feel. The in-cabin appointments greets you with a mix of alcantara and carbon fiber. Elegant and sporty and a beautiful place to be in. To build an MKV R32 to this standard including a purchase of a pre-loved MKV R32, would net around 100K AUD +. The supercharger itself is 25K AUD. I have since purchased another car and I cannot justify keeping 4 cars hence my plight to offer this car to someone who will respect it the same way as I have. Be assured this car has been very well looked after. Sell Price: 58K AUD MY08(2007 Built) VW Golf MK V R32 Coupe, 3 Door Coupe DSG, 33,000 genuine driven kilometers.
